Synopsis:

The video takes place in a nearby future where pigs are reintroduced into human societies as companions and solutions for waste management. Drawing parallels between the condition of pigs in industrial production and humans within capitalist systems, we question notions of utility and coexistence. Through alternating perspectives—the pig’s confinement and human overproduction—the narrative critiques climate and biological crises caused by extractivism, overconsumption, and inequality. While envisioning new potentials for humanimal cohabitation, the video underscores the pitfalls of capitalism, where even liberation risks commodification. It advocates for systemic change and multispecies interdependence in an endangered world, in which we already are.
