We recall and analyze the two slogans of the week:  "left adjoints preserve coproducts, and right adjoints preserve limits" and "the colimit construction can be seen as a left adjoint and the limit construction as a right adjoint".  We then see how to use these two facts to better understand limits and colimits in Top, Ab, and Gr, once we know them in Set.
