COM-309 Introduction to Quantum Information Processing
An introduction to quantum physics for simple finite dimensional systems (photon polarization, spin) and their dynamics. Rabi oscillations, Ramsey interferometers, simple quantum gates. Basic quantum communication protocols: BB84 and B92 QKD, dense coding, teleportation, Bell inequalities, Ekert QKD protocol. Density matrices and von Neumann entropy and entanglement revisited. No prior knowledge of quantum physics is required.
